The Renton girls track team took second at the Arnie Young Invitational April 4.
Renton scored 87.6 points, behind Newport’s 101 and ahead of Mount Si’s 80.
Lindbergh finished eighth, with 42.2 points. Hazen came in 13th, with 26 points.
Junior Taylor Williams placed second in the 100 for Renton.
Senior Victoria Fernandez placed fourth in the 100 hurdles and fifth in the 300 hurdles. Sophomore Amadi Bentley took fifth in the 100 hurdles and third in the 300 hurdles.
Renton once again made a big impact on throws with a pair of strong seniors, Roylanda Jackson and Boryana Atanasova. Jackson won the shot put contest, while Atanasova won javelin, finished third in shot put and second in discus.
Lindbergh’s Makala Williams placed second in long jump and fifth in triple jump.
Hazen senior Leslie Mikolaizik placed third in javelin. Senior Brittany Phillio took second in high jump.
