Wrestling: Renton area wrestlers advance to regionals

Hazen placed fourth and Lindbergh featured three weight class champions at the Seamount League meet Feb. 6-7.

Hazen was the top team from Renton, in fourth with 132 points (one point behind Highline for third). Lindbergh scored 123 points for third and Renton scored 107 for eighth.

Lindbergh’s Mark Garcia pinned Renton’s Aaron Garcia to take the 103-pound title. Lindbergh’s Luke Garcia won the 112-pound title. Hazen’s Jacob Nestvold won the 125-pound title. Hazen’s Anders Bostrom won the 135-pound title. Lindbergh’s Isiah Corwin won the 152-pound title.

Hazen’s Mason Seybold came in second at 119 pounds and Garcia placed second at 103 pounds.

The regional tournament is Saturday at Bonney Lake High School, where wrestlers will have a chance to advance to the state tournament.
