The Lindbergh cross-country boys teams repeated as champions of the Mt. Baker Invite Saturday at Silver Lake State Park in Deming, Wash.
Trevor Thompson won the boys varsity race, edging a top 3A contender in Shadle Park’s Nathan Weitz. Thompson now has three wins in four races this season.
Nate Tandecki (16th place), Luke Garcia (24), Nate Reitz (29), Thanh Nguyen (36), Mark Garcia (38) and Nathan Haley (42) rounded out the varsity team.
Brett Love led the Eagles’ champion JV team with a second overall finish.
C.J. Timm (3rd place), James Truong (5), Ben Platt (7), Peter Kusz (8), Ryan White (14), Mohamud Abdi (19), Kevin Jensen (22) and Eugene Pioquinto (23) all finished in the top 25 for the Lindbergh JV team.
Girls
The Lindbergh girls varsity team placed fifth — the squad’s highest finish ever at Mt. Baker.
Sarah Reiter finished third overall (0.42 seconds behind second place).
Jasmine Fallgreen (9th place), Anna Patti (38), Erika Galindo (41), Brenna Fisher (85) and Elizabeth Hansen (90) also raced for the girls varsity team.
